This is a civilian legal short barrel rifle (SBR). The SBR is civilian legal; however, because it is classified as a National Firearms Act (NFA) weapon, it requires registration with the BATFE.
New in box SIG516 short barreled rifle. This version has a 7.5" 1x7 twist barrel, chrome lined barrel and chambered in 5.56mm NATO. The 516 has a four-position gas regulator with gas piston operating systems and incorporates desirable mechanical improvements such as a ambidextrous magazine release and built-in quick release sling mounts. Made of 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard coat anodized finish.
