MODULAR AND LIGHTER
Rugged returns with their lightest silencer yet. The Mustang 22 comes in at just 3.3 ounces in the long configuration, and under 2 ounces in the short. This modular silencer disappears on the end of a firearm and can be optimized for ultra short, or ultra quiet. With no first round pop, the Mustang 22 is quiet from the first to the last shot. Cleaning is a breeze due to the baffle design. The keyed baffles are engineered to create a gas seal preventing baffles from seizing to the tube.
If the Oculus was impressive, just wait until you see how half the weight feels!
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
Rugged found success with the Oculus. A quiet and modular 22 silencer that could handle quite a few calibers, be configured into an ideal length, and was just flat-out quiet. On paper the Oculus checks a lot of boxes, but some desired a lighter can. Be it for your full carbon-fiber 10/22 build, or for a kid's first firearm the Oculus was a bit beefy. Rugged has solved that issue with the Mustang 22. It retains the quietness and modularity, but weights in at nearly half as much. For those after a modular 22 can that barely registers on the scale, the Mustang 22 is a great addition to Rugged's stable.
