The B&T SPC9 PDW is one of the most interesting 9mm "ARs" to be released in recent years. It's an extremely small platform built due to specific needs and demands. The SPC9 design had to follow the same great ergonomics and handling as an AR-15, but with a modernized and overhauled foundation. The MP5 and APC9 were also integral to the design, providing B&T's engineers with ideas not found in most 9mm "AR" style firearms. The recoil was drastically reduced due to a unique hydraulic buffer system, allowing it to be easier for follow-up shots. "Lightest recoil in class" may not mean much on paper, but it certainly does on the range!
The telescopic stock allows for an already small firearm to be stored or transported in an even smaller configuration with the stock fully collapsed. It can be deployed extremely quickly, with just a pull rearward from the shooter. The minimal footprint and size is impressive, even when compared to B&T's other compact stock systems.
